Stakeholders have urged Ugandans to celebrate inspirational women within their community whilst they are still alive.
In an Exhibition organised by Because of Her-Uganda, to showcase women trail blazers,exbihitors have highlighted challenges extra ordinary Ugandan women went through.
Keshia Kenyangi,One of the Exhibitors, said ” there are alot of women who achieved alot but were never celebrated like the male counterparts”.
Because of her- Uganda leadership has highlighted the hurdles overcame by women in contemporary Ugandan history whose achievements have been excluded from mainstream history.
Exhibiters of the historical Ugandan women have called upon the public to celebrate the trailblazing women in our society in order to inspire the next generation of women.
On the same note, government represented by Hon David Bahati State minister of trade has reminded Ugandans how it is recognizing and including women through fighting maternal mortality and Political inclusion of women at different levels.

As they showcase phenomenal women who have played a tremendous role in the development of this country Uganda, Exhibiters have explained how they will collectively celebrate these women.
“We are going to take this initiative to the grass root level and involve young ladies in social activities which will help them realize their potential”, Portia Uwera (Exhibitor) said.
As the exhibition wraps up, Women and young ladies are advised to not only follow the path curved by the early women of valor but also enlarge the path for many to follow behind and if possible curve new routes on their own.
