The speaker of the 11th parliament RT Anita Among has promised to refund all MPs who have reportedly protested deductions from their salaries by Parliament towards late Hon.Jacob Oulaonyah’s Eduation Fund. The speaker says “i will pay all the MPs and they should register their names, that l will use my account to refund” Ms Among said that she was overly disappointed to learn that some MPs were complaining that Parliament had deducted Shs1 million on their salary that resolution was passed to deduct Shs1 million from each of the over 500 MPs’ salaries towards the fund which will be used to continue educating children that were being sponsored by late Hon Jacob oulanya .
Hon Ronald Balimwezo the MP of nakawa East and Hon Asuman Basalirwa MP bugili municipality are some of the MPs protesting the deduction of the 1 million . in their speech they say it was not done in the right process. to deduct the 1million.
