SCHOOLS TO CLOSE TWO WEEKS EARLIER THE PLANNED DATE

Following the request of the minister of health, Hon Ruth aceng for earlier closer of school as a one way of controlling the Spread of Ebola in the the country, after a meeting with the cabinet the minister of Education and Sports Janet Museveni has ordered all pre-primary, primary and secondary schools in the country to close for third term holidays on Friday, November 25. It should be remembered that the planned holiday was to happen to on 9-december-2022 this makes a loss of two weeks for students.

The minister of education adds on and say since the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) was declared on September 20, 23 children cases have been confirmed, of which, 8 have died as of November 4. She says, overall, 11 children have been diagnosed with Ebola in five schools in Kampala, Wakiso.
