The House of Bishops elected Rev Canon Godfrey Kasana as the fourth Bishop of Luweero Diocese. All this came out on Monday 3rd April 2023 from the provincial secretary, Rev Canon Captain William Ongeng, Rev Can Kasana was elected during a sitting of bishops in Kisoro. it should be remembered that some Christians from the diocese were complaining of wrong nomination of Rev Abel sserwanja mereewoma the parish priest of kireka parish and wanted the nomination to be redone. He will be consecrated and enthroned as Bishop on July 16 at St. Mark’s Cathedral, Luweero. Canon Kasana was born on January 11, 1971 in Sekamuli, Wabinyinja, Bamunanika Sub-county, and became Born Again on September 17, 1996. He holds a Bachelor’s degree of divinity from Uganda Christian University, and also pursuing a masters in development studies from Ndeje University, was ordained as a deacon in 2009 and made a Canon of St. Mark’s Cathedral, Luweero, in 2020.
