Vipers sports club was on Saturday 27/may/2023 crowed champions of the 2022-23 star times Uganda Premier League. The club secured the title on the final day of the season on Saturday after securing a convincing 5-0 win over Busoga United FC at St Mary’s stadium Kitende, Yunus Sentamu, Bright Anukani, Martin Kizza and a brace from Abubaker lawal helped vipers finish with 53 points. The Venoms were already declared winners of this year’s edition of the championship two weeks ago, but they were only waiting for the crowning to celebrate their sixth title win in the club history. Vipers SC still stands another chance of winning the Stanbic Uganda Cup where they will face Bidco FC.
The crowing ceremony was graced by many football leaders including the Eng Moses Magogo FUFA president, Nakiwala kiyingi FUFA VICE PRESIDENT, Lawrence Mulidwa the chaiman viper and Tonny mawejje retired midfielder for Uganda cranes.

Viper’s club president Lawrence Mulindwa promised the players and technical team shs100m after they won their game and promised for better performance next time even in the CAF champions.
Alex isabirye the head coach of vipers Sc who joined the team early this year attached the win to team work and unity among players and team management, he also promised better performance in all coming games.
