Kyetume FC which had just been promoted to the Uganda premier league, has been relegated back to the regional league after failing to match up with FUFA’s club licensing standards. The federation came up with its final decision after the club failing to register its players on the FUFA Connect System. It’s a requirement for a club to have a minimum of 18 players on the System before issued a licence for the forthcoming system and Kyetume fc hadnt registered any thus forcing the federation to come to a conclution of relegating the club two divisions down the league system hierarchy, with FUFA saying that they are not even fit to play in FUFA Big League. Our sources have it that the club was given until Friday August 12 2022 to make things right, a deadline they failed to comply with thus FUFA proceeding with its decision.“it was unfair to relegate our club, atleast they would have contacted us the funs to finance the registration process” stated some of the angry funs that our site interacted with.FUFA has gone ahead to advise Kyetume FC to undertake the process of meeting the club licensing requirements for the Third Division Buganda Region for the 2022/23 season
