
GODFREY WALUSIMBI (JAJJA WALU) RETIRES AT 33YEARS
Uganda number one defender Godfrey Walusimbi retires from Active football at 33 years of age, he declared this on 5th October 2022 in a press statement. He says his journey has been supported by a number of people and factors to see him at a point. Godfrey appreciated SC villa were he started his professional football, and all clubs he has played for both local and international. Walusimbi is passionate now on football management and mentoring young talents in football because he believes football is part of him. Walusimbi is the first Ugandan footballer to play more than 100 international matches. Andy Mwesigwa, his former Captain on the nation team thanked Walusimbi for his determination and team work. L will remember him as one of the most talented left footed players that could make the defense strong, he was a committed guy during my time with him, we won the CECAFA tournament with him and later played with him in AFCON qualifiers, he is consistent and very hardworking.
